Proper fish tank lights for your aquarium will ensure that the tank remains in good condition, and that you will be able to observe your fish. To sustain your fish and plant life, illuminate your tank for twelve hours a day, mimicking the natural environment from which they came. If you’re worried about erratic lighting patterns, which may disturb your fish, buy a timer for your lighting system.

Light your tank with fluorescent fish tank lights for the best possible results, but be prepared to pay a little more than you would for cheap incandescent lights. Lots of heat is emitted by incandescent lighting, so don’t use it around your fish tank or you may discover dead fish as a result of water that has gotten too warm.

If you want a plant-filled aquarium, you will need to use special lighting, because most plants do best under a full-spectrum fluorescent bulb or tri-phosphor fluorescent tubes that emit light in the red-blue-green range in the spectrum.

With a selection of corals in your tank, you’ll need to make sure that the lighting is adequately strong. Although some lower light corals don’t need too much light, it is a best bet to get fish tank lighting that can provide 5-8 watts per gallon for your tank.

My good friend has a horse that’s basically a member of her family. She talks to it like it’s her own daughter. However, although some might think so, I don’t see anything wrong with this. In fact, her horse has become a member of my extended family as well. I take my kids over to her house and they just adore her horse (named Lilly). They ride Lilly and just have the best time.

Right now my rabbits are living in a dog carrier. I just got these rabbits from my friend who gave them to me via the dog carrier and haven’t had a chance to buy them a proper cage/house. A cage just sounds so depressing. I want to get them a house! Nothing to cutsie – just something comfortable. Kinda like a dog house. Do they even have rabbit houses? I searched online and found options for rabbit houses and other small pet houses and cages, but need to see a larger selection before I make a selection. My son has a pet hamster and its cage is pretty worn. It’s an older cage so it’s definitely time for a new one. We bought the original cage from a local pet store but unfortunately that store is long gone. I not one for supporting the big stores (you know who they are) as I’d rather support local pet shops. I think I got ripped off. I bought an inexpensive bird cage online and it didn’t come with anything. It didn’t even come with a perch. So now I’m stuck finding accessories for this darn thing. I have a cute parakeet named Sprite and he’s getting big. I’ve had Sprite since he was really, really young. As a result, I’ve had him in the same cage for years. I spoil my cat. And I have no problem with it. I even have a specialty bed for him. He is truly king of the castle. But although he is the king, I’m the financial backing. And specialty beds and other kitty related supplies and furniture can be costly. So I’m looking for affordable furnishings for cats. One site advises which brands offer discount cat furniture (I think it’s called ZooToo), but I’m curious to the quality of such cat furniture items. I assume some are better made than others. My cat loses more toys than my kids. I buy my kitty a ball or a plastic squeak toy and it’s gone in 2 days. I’m serious. And although cat toys aren’t that much, when you’re buying a new one ever week, it does start to add up. So I’m looking online for a cat toy that she WON’T lose or at least one that I can find easily. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a smaller dog and she has the toughest time getting up on our back patio. It’s a bit high for her to jump up onto so I’m searching for dog steps. My friend was telling me about these steps and how they make it easy for small dogs to get up on high platforms. So I’ve been looking around for some options. I found one site that has reviews on dog steps and it’s very informative. But I’m looking for some more advice on what steps to get. Is one material better than another? Is there a standard height I should be aware of? Any help would be great.
