I have a tiny Chihuahua that’s soooo cute. She’s snow white and I treat her like a little princess. And believe it or not, I named her Princess. She has her own little bed, and a monogram blanket and even a cute little outfit for going out on the town. She’s truly my little princess.
I recently purchased a new couch that’s much higher than my previous one. As a result, my poor little princess can’t get up onto it. So, I decided to purchase dog steps for her. My good friend has a horse that’s basically a member of her family. She talks to it like it’s her own daughter. However, although some might think so, I don’t see anything wrong with this. My wife loves fish ponds, so we added one when we remodeled the backyard. Unfortunately, it was a dud. The fish quickly died and it kept growing over with algae. Because every dog is different, it takes several types of bark control collars to work for all of them. I think I got ripped off. I bought an inexpensive bird cage online and it didn’t come with anything. It didn’t even come with a perch. So now I’m stuck finding accessories for this darn thing. I guess that’s what I get for being cheap. Where the heck am I suppose to find perches and ladders and cuttlebone. I’m so confused. I have a smaller dog and she has the toughest time getting up on our back patio. It’s a bit high for her to jump up onto so I’m searching for dog steps. Since Mother Nature provides the dog with its own outer fur coat you might think why bother with anything else. Little dogs, however, lose their body heat more quickly than the bigger dogs. Small, short-haired dogs like the Chihuahuas and Miniature Pinschers have almost nothing in the way of nature to keep them warm in colder temperatures. For these dogs it is like a necessity to provide them with something extra for those cold, blistery days outside. For other breeds, such as a thick-coated Shih Tzu it can be entirely optional, but will also help the smaller sizes to retain their body heat in colder temperatures.

When purchasing a dog coat for your dog use the same good sense as you do when purchasing your own coat. Look for good construction. Wool and micro fiber fabric retain warmth. If you live in a climate that experiences cold winters look especially for materials made of wool and fleece. Be sure the coat covers the dog enough to keep him warm.
