Last year was the first time that I attended a Halloween party. I dressed my 5 month old in a furry baby monkey costume, which kept her warm. My husband and I procrastinated a little too much when it came to our Halloween costumes. It would have been nice to do a jungle or animal theme to match our daughter, but because we waited too long, we were all something unrelated. I dressed up as Elvira and my husband was a snake charmer, with our baby monkey in our arms. This year is different, we are planning and ordering online instead of driving around and wasting gas.

Halloween has been traditionally a night for the parents and kids to go trick or treating from house to house in their neighborhood. Today it seems that the family pet is also coming along for the fun. If you look at the parents watching their kids on the sidewalk, most of the time there is a dog standing there with them on the leash. A good idea is that since Fido is along for the fun you should dress him or her up in a pet Halloween costume. That may sound weird, but there are festivals all over the United States where people dress up their pets for fun and contests. Why can’t your pet join in the Halloween fun and wear a pet Halloween costume also? Pet Halloween costumes can be bought at the major big lot pet stores and even Wal-mart and Target carry a small selection.
They are a little expensive but if you want to spend the money, you can buy a pet Halloween custom that is as elaborate as those that are made for humans. You can dress your dog up as a princess, a devil, or cow. It is amazing of how much choice there is out there. The worst chore to accomplish when picking out your dog’s Halloween costume is to size it correctly. If your dog is not used to wearing clothes, a costume to big can cause the animal to trip or the dog may try to wiggle out of it.

Many people who own pets think of them as family members and will go all out to include dogs, cats and other critters in their Halloween festivities. This includes trick-or-treating, handing out candy, costume parties or even celebrating at a friend or family member’s house. When I first heard about dog Halloween costumes I burst out laughing. Who would go to the bother of dressing up their family dog for Halloween? Ridiculous - pathetic, even - was my reaction. But then I kept hearing about Halloween costumes for dogs, and even pet Halloween costumes for other animals. I even heard about a pet goat being dressed up in a Halloween costume. There had to be a reason for this strange infatuation with Halloween fancy dress costumes for pets.
The choices you have when selecting your dog Halloween costumes are huge. Tinkerbell is tiny, affectionate and faithful, however, she is definitely unlike any dog we’ve ever encountered before. She is more similar to a very spoiled, yet fashionable child. The dog stuff included very elaborate outfits for the holidays. Velvet dresses, satin off the shoulder cocktail dresses, and the more traditional knit sweaters. There were also collars that were studded with sequins and stones. I could tell that the sales clerk was not thrilled with this new merchandize. I commented that our female dog would certainly prefer precious stones. When I said this she lead me over to the fine jewelry counter and showed me a display of precious and semi precious collars. I could not believe what I was seeing.

Aquarium ornaments aren’t there to add any benefits to the fish, they are just for you to add some decoration in the tank. You can have all sorts of ornaments, big or small, traditional or caricature, simple or even complicated. There are thousands of different ornaments that you can buy in stores or you can even make your own. However ornaments are not for all fish, some fish don’t like them, I know for a fact Oscars don’t take well to any type of ornament or even plant. I was recently in a national department store and I could not believe my eyes when I was in the accessory section of this store. At first I thought there was a new section of doll clothing that was placed in this section. Upon closer examination I realized that the clothes were for dogs. Along with the clothes there were beds, toys, designer dishes and other dog stuff. This is a store that does not ordinarily have a pet section.
