One of the first things you should look for when you are deciding what kind of Parrot Cages to buy is to find a cage that will fit your bird. Most bird store will recommend a bird cage that is way to small for your bird because the smaller the bird cage the cheaper the cage. That is not recommened. What you should do is get a large bird cage that is at least double the size of the wing span of your bird. A large dome cage is highly recommended.

The African gray parrot is quite affectionate in nature and is one of the most talkative, sensitive and intelligent of parrots. They can acquire a vocabulary of hundreds of words, as well as some very distinctive and expressive sounds. The average lifespan of a domesticated African gray parrot is about 50 years! As with many birds, they can be snappish if feeling miffed, so the African Gray Parrot may not suit a situation where young children might be bit.

There are two types of African gray parrots, the Congo, which grows up to about 16 inches long, and his smaller cousin, the Timneh, which is just a bit smaller. You can tell the difference between the birds by looking at the beak. The smaller Timneh has an almost beige colored beak, while the Congo’s beak is black. I think I got ripped off. I bought an inexpensive bird cage online and it didn’t come with anything. It didn’t even come with a perch. So now I’m stuck finding accessories for this darn thing. I guess that’s what I get for being cheap. Where the heck am I suppose to find perches and ladders and cuttlebone. I’m so confused. I know there are sites that talk about what the best bird cage accessories are, but is there a way to purchase them all at once? I don’t want to have to shop around endlessly trying to find each individual item. And what are the bare essentials when it comes to cage accessories? Do I need to get everything? What is everything? I’m so confused.

I have a cute parakeet named Sprite and he’s getting big. I’ve had Sprite since he was really, really young. As a result, I’ve had him in the same cage for years. When you are finished with the first few instructions and you can see that you have a nice, sturdy piece, tear off one or two inches of a masking tape or duct tape to provide a covering for the staples in the milk carton.  Now overlap or cover the entire carton with the masking tape so none of the milk carton is showing.  To make it more sturdy and durable cover the entire carton with a shoe polish to make the paper harder.

Taking your dog out hunting in Central Iowa for game bird hunting is something that is a passion for the true hunter.  Having a dog that responds properly, knows what is expected of him (or her) and enjoying being with the hunter is the dream of all hunters.

Is the dog a pet?  Well, probably not in the same mind set that those that have a poodle and dress it up is but certainly is a pet you want to take care of and enjoy.

Taking a good hunting dog out and tracking the animals that you want, finding the bird that is your favorite to hunt and having the dog respond to your signals is a great way to spend a day or a weekend.

The reserve is a wonderful way to hunt and meet other hunters with similar interests.  You will enjoy the experience.
