Allergies In Dogs A Common Problem
If you suspect that your dog has an allergy then understand that dog allergies are about as common as human allergies. Dogs can have the same kind of allergic reactions and symptoms as people. A dog that scratches constantly is a sure sign of an itchy skin reaction. However, they may have respiratory reactions such as coughing or sneezing, or digestive symptoms like vomiting or diarrhea.
Allergies are sensitive reactions to one or more substances and in most cases is not considered harmful. It happens when something that most animals would not have a problem with, triggers an immune system response in a particular dog. Sometimes a pet dog has allergies to something that never gave him a problem in the past. Often this is because he has been over exposed to it for a while. This happens in humans too.
