Many feel that having a pet is an easy task. There might be some truth to this theory, but when your pet develops a health problem this can puzzle you. If and when you get a new puppy or dog you need to know about dog health problems that might occur and when to seek medical attention for your pet. There are some common things that indicate problems, and being knowledgeable about these conditions, means quicker and more effective treatment for your for your pet.
What is easy is that some are things that would startle even those that do not know what to look for in pet health. One of the main indications of a dog poor health would be missing or thinning fur. Though many cats and dogs lose some hair or experience some thinning as they age, this should not happen to a younger dog. When that happens, you may see spots where no fur is there at all, or that the skin under the fur is becoming visible through the fur when it was not that way before. These can signify mange or other skin conditions that need treatment. If you notice this, it is in the best interest of your dog to take him or her in for attention.
