My good friend has a horse that’s basically a member of her family. She talks to it like it’s her own daughter. However, although some might think so, I don’t see anything wrong with this. In fact, her horse has become a member of my extended family as well. I take my kids over to her house and they just adore her horse (named Lilly). They ride Lilly and just have the best time.

As a result of the immense love my friend has for her horse, she also celebrates Lilly’s birthday, which is basically the day she got her. She even throws a party for Lilly. And guess who gets invited every year (the answer is ME!). I’m actually very honored to be invited. But not being a horse owner myself, I don’t know what to get a horse on her birthday. I was looking online for ideas and came across a site that talks all about horse blankets. I read all about them and decided it’s the gift I’m going to get. I hope Lilly likes it.
