Zoo Animals as Pets?
Perhaps you can’t have a pet at home, but you really want one. The solution may be to “adopt” a zoo animal in a sense. You can help to support the animal at the zoo, volunteer to help with things that need to be done or learn all you can and then volunteer to teach others about the zoo and what it has to offer.
Just think of yourself as the “adopted” parent of special animal, maybe a big cat or something like a parrott. You could tell all your friends about your new “pet”.ÂÂ
You could check with the zoo in your area like the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines. They will probably be glad for the offer of help.
