When you are finished with the first few instructions and you can see that you have a nice, sturdy piece, tear off one or two inches of a masking tape or duct tape to provide a covering for the staples in the milk carton. Now overlap or cover the entire carton with the masking tape so none of the milk carton is showing. To make it more sturdy and durable cover the entire carton with a shoe polish to make the paper harder.
