Keep Your Fish Healthy By Avoiding These Goldfish Diseases

Just like any other living creature, goldfish can get sick.   Which is why it’s smart to find out about common goldfish diseases.

One disease that is common to many fish, including goldfish is called Ich.    This disease is actually a parasite that looks like tiny white spots on the scales of your goldfish.  Often times it goes unnoticed because you have to look very close or you might miss it.  If you let it go too far it can kill all the fish in your tank!
Fin rot is a bacterial infection that can attack your goldfish.  This often happens when your fish has an injury to his tail or one of his fins.  The bacteria eats the fins of the fish and eventually kills him!.

Another disease to watch for is something called Pop Eye.  Here, you will notice your fish’s eyes sticking out more than usual.  Watch your fish closely for any change in the eye depth to see if he has this disease.
