Dog kennel flooring is the most neglected, yet the most significant chapter in the episode

of canine sheltering. There are both permanent dog kennel flooring options and also temporary or an instant options. The permanent ones are the concrete floors, while the instant ones are generally made up of high-grade synthetic fibers. The dog kennel flooring is also a technical issue and needs to be taken into consideration while planning.

The dog kennel floor must always be rough so as to allow the dog to get proper grips and stepping to avoid accidents by slipping down and end up with fractured limbs. The sleek floors are not recommended for the dogs during their puppy stage, because they sometimes develop bones and lose the appropriate angulations, which may be a nightmare during the matured age.

The temporary or the instant dog kennel flooring is much better and have earned a great degree of admirations and acceptances all over the world. Anyone who has ever had a dog will tell you that dog house training is one of the most difficult aspects about owning a dog.  A human child takes about two to three years to become potty trained.  A dog, on the other hand, takes five to six months.  Training a dog is not easy, however, it takes time and patience.  The important thing to remember is that it can be done.  Dog house training doesn’t have to be so dreadful that it deters you from getting a dog.  With a few important steps, your dog will become house trained and you will be both be happier because of it.

Start Training Immediately

Dog house training should begin the moment you bring your dog home.  If the dog has been in a kennel, such as at the pound or animal control, then it will more than likely have gotten used to going to the bathroom in its kennel.  That means that it isn’t used to going outside and will just go when it pleases.  The first thing you should get for dog house training is a kennel.

Night Training

A kennel provides a place for your dog to rest and sleep at night.  It, of course, would rather be in bed with you.  However, if you let the dog out because of the barking, the dog will quickly learn that all it has to do is bark to be let out of its kennel.  This cannot happen, so you need to train your dog that it must be kept in the kennel all night.

As soon as you start to bump along the old dirt road that leads to the show grounds, you’ll feel excitement in the air. It’s a kind of excitement like a light fever, horse fever. Any­one who likes animals loves horses, and almost everywhere you look you’ll see horses—some being ridden in an easy, relaxed manner by sea­soned professional riders; some being held by proud, smiling grandmothers; some acting frisky in the crisp morn­ing air as soft-voiced grooms do their best to quiet down the snorting ani­mals ; some standing peacefully, gent­ly nuzzling their affectionate owners. Young riders will be scurrying in every direction, hunting for the prop­er number to wear on their backs so the judges can identify them easily, – searching for their hunt caps or der­bies before the next class begins, or maybe just plain trying to find moth­er. Other riders may be out for some early morning practice, putting the high-stepping Saddle Horses through a walk, trot, and canter. Or you may see a well-dressed rider in black boots and canary-yellow riding breeches taking a big, rangy hunter over the outside hunt course where the jumps are like the actual jumps a rider would meet on a real hunt. You’ll hold your breath the first time you see that Thoroughbred collect himself and go up and over a four-foot stone wall with the ease and grace of a dancer.

Boxers are a great all around breed.

They are a distinguished canine and the coolest, most lovable dog out there! It is a medium-built and strong breed that is so named because of its habit of standing on the hind legs to begin a fight and boxing with the front paws.

By nature, Boxers are working dogs. Throughout history it has been trained as:
·    hunting dog
·    police dog
·    seeing-eye dog for the blind
·    guard dog
·    circus dog
·    courier dog on the battlefields during World War I and World War II
·    Fighting dog in the once popular sport of dog fighting

The American Kennel Club (AKC) categorizes dogs into 7 groups:

o    terrier
o    toy
o    working
And the largest breed registered in the working dog category is the Boxer.

No doubt the Boxer breed makes for great utility dog but the greatest advantage to owning one is that a Boxer can be your most outstanding companion on four legs and a great source of personal fulfillment.

By the way, the AKC registered over 150 different breeds totaling nearly one million dogs in 2003. To put that in perspective, the animal shelters in America rescue up to 12 million homeless dogs and cats every year and 25% of these are purebreds.

The dog is a remarkable animal. Consider this unusual trait: he is the only animal that gives his friendship and loyalty for nothing more than a word of praise or a scratch behind the ears. He is unique among all other animals in this respect.

Man and dog have been friends for more than 10,000 years. It has been a lasting friendship, starting out as a collaboration for mutual benefit. The dog volunteered his services as a hunting companion, and was tossed a bone or chunk of meat for his help. Next, he took to sitting outside the caves, waiting for any cast-off bones or meat. While he waited, he chased away any predatory animals that skulked nearby.

Our hardy ancestor, the caveman, was quick to see the advantage in having the dog stay around the caves. The dog was not only a big help in hunting and guarding the caves, but he also acted as a scavenger and kept the cave grounds clean. All in all, it was a satisfactory arrangement for both dog and man.

Gradually, as man and dog learned they had nothing to fear from each other, their relationship became more intimate. The dog graduated from being just a watchdog and hunting aide to the more exalted position of trusted friend. He moved into the caves, sharing the food and hearth of the cave family. And when he moved closer to man, an emotional bond was formed. The dog was no longer a mere animal servant or chattel, but a member of the family.

Origin—It is generally accepted that the horse descended from a small cleft-hoofed quadruped reaching its present characteristic development thousands of years ago in Asia.

APPEARANCE IN NORTH AMERICA-While fossil remains indicate that in prehistoric times horses existed in the North American continent, probably arriving by successive migrations from Asia, entire races became extinct. Horses were reintroduced to North America through Mexico by the Spaniards who brought horses with them from Europe on their voyages of exploration—the first by Cortez in 1519.

FIRST USE—Historians believe that the first use of the horse was by the Babylonians about 1700 B.C. to draw war chariots—low two-wheeled affairs of narrow trace. Others believe that primitive man learned to ride first.

The Greeks and the Assyrians used chariots extensively in battle and for racing. In 776 B.C, the Olympian Games commenced. The horse events were so popular that a separate arena was built for them called the Hippodrome.

Bringing together the germ plasma of two dogs from which to mold a third to his own liking, he becomes a veritable sculptor in living flesh. Any critical verdict about his creature as a work of art must rest upon whether or not the breeder has employed the right materials in the right manner best to approximate the breeder’s ideal dog of any specific breed.

For a fine dog may well be a work of art. However, if the dog be merely the result of the unplanned, chance union of the parental * gametes, the words art and artistry can hardly be applied to its production. The person who passes as breeder of such a one is not a breeder at all but merely the possessor of the dam at the time of her copulation with the sire.

It is futile to deny that good dogs do so arise. Indeed, it was not until recent years that enough was known of the reproductive processes to permit of more than merely the mating of the best available male to the best available female and trusting to luck (and her excellence was considered as of only minor moment).

THE original western horse had its beginning as a Spanish horse of war, then as a horse trained to work cattle on the ranchos of Mexico, Texas, and the Southwest. American cattlemen further developed the western horse.

The original western saddle horse had but one function, and that was working livestock. Some horses were highly trained in the art of cutting out cattle, others as calf-roping animals, and the ordinary horses were found in the strings of night herders. Today the western horse exhibits his abilities in many fields. His life is a far cry from that of his ancestors on the ranchos. Before selecting a western horse the horseman should determine the purpose and choose a type to fit the particular need. However, this does not mean merely owning a horse and going through the act of riding. Yes, there is much today that goes into the making of a unit, and it isn’t all on the horse’s back. There is nothing more beautiful than the coordination of a rider and horse. Too many people buy a horse with no idea of how to take care of it. The desire is there but not the understanding. A lot of thought must go into the care, the grooming, and the training as well.
